We are starting the 2013 year off by turning our engines OFF!
Parents and caregivers dropping off or picking up their children have seen No Idling signs posted around our campus for a few years.  These No Idling Zones have become part of our
2013 No Idling Campaign.
We are working to protect the health of our students and the health of our environment, and we ask you to show your support by turning off your engine while waiting on school grounds.  Please be aware that St Paul of the Cross has adopted a No Idling Policy that will be posted on the website as well as in the handbook.  The emissions that come from our tailpipes harm all of us, especially children who breathe more and at a faster rate than adults. Air pollution also poses particular risks for our children with asthma, and even low levels of pollution can trigger an asthma attack or respiratory symptoms.

So, if you’re going to be sitting still for more than 30 seconds, please remember to turn your car’s engine
off. You’ll not only improve our air, you’ll also save money in fuel and vehicle wear and tear costs!

This No Idling informational campaign will be shared with the students at school as well as through the Thursday Mailings in the upcoming weeks.
